Internships

Eligibility & Requirements:
● Current student in good standing at institution of higher education
● GPA of 2.5 or higher
● Dedicates at least 2-4 hours per week

Marketing and Communications Intern
● Update and maintain social media presence
● Assist in planning, writing and managing TenneSEA’s Newsletter
● Draft, distribute and pitch news releases, media alerts and other stories
● Design flyers, graphics, e-vites and other marketing material for major events
● Collaborate with staff on new ideas, directions, and venues for marketing and communications

Research and Water Monitoring Intern
● Collect stream data once a month, additional per rain events
● Organize and analyze data with TenneSEA staff
● Help develop remediation plans and projects
● Assist in other current research projects, when applicable
● Communicate with and engage the community at outreach events

Environmental Education Intern
● Facilitate hands-on, experiential science education for students
● Provide feedback on lesson success and suggestions for improvement
● Work with TenneSEA staff to develop programs, curriculum, materials, and other
educational resources
● Communicate with and engage the community at outreach events

Compensation: This is an unpaid/volunteer internship, which offers school credit.
