Mountain Creek Conservation Project (MCCP)

Mountain Creek is heavily affected by urban stormwater runoff. This runoff leads to rapidly rising waters (“flashy” streams), which then causes stream bank erosion and sedimentation. It also leads to the widening of streams into neighborhood yards, while distributing litter and increasing the E. coli load in the stream. The goal of the MCCP is to conserve Mountain Creek by working with all community members that live and work in the watershed.

We are working with citizens, developers, local government, Friends of Red Bank Streams, and others to ensure that Mountain Creek is the safe, fun, and beautiful creek that we know it can be!
